» YOUTH ON LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

‘LEAP’ our Youth on Leadership committee meet once a month to organise community events, fundraising and volunteering opportunities, learn new skills, leadership and most importantly make new friends and have fun!

The committee is also responsible for assisting in the running and management of YOH Fest. Committee jobs and roles include marshalling, programme directing, catering, working backstage and front of house, and many more. YOH Fest’s committee consists of young people – that’s what makes it vibrant and fun.

Along with members of the community, the ‘LEAP’ youth on leadership group attends an annual Leadership Camp. Over five days, camp-goers take part in physically- and mentally-challenging activities to develop leadership skills, self-confidence, self-respect, respect for others, all while having a great time and making new friends.
